In a world ravaged by disease and economic despair, Telcoin strives to provide an empowering remittance solution that boosts financial inclusion globally.

The entire Telcoin team would like to show our appreciation for the contributions of migrant workers across the globe by recognizing International Day of Family Remittances (IDFR) this 16th of June, 2020. Today is designated to recognize the hard work and sacrifices of over 200 million migrant workers to improve the lives of their 800 million family members back home, and to create a future of hope for their children and loved ones. Serving these migrant families is what drives Telcoin to persist in providing a faster, cheaper, safer, and more convenient option for international money transfers. We strive to put more money in the hands of our users’ friends and family members who need it most, by leveraging next generation blockchain technology in cooperation with telecommunications companies and mobile money providers around the world.
Telcoin offers a number of competitive advantages in the remittance industry and makes a point of supporting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development put forth by the United Nations (UN) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Telcoin is hyper-focused on decreasing remittance fees and increasing the ease of use for people in all corners of the globe. Through our platform, we aim to boost the purchasing power of remittance recipients in our corridors by millions of dollars annually and doing our part to bridge the poverty gap.
In March of 2020, UN Secretary General António Guterres stated the following:
“Remittances are a lifeline in the developing world — especially now. Countries have already committed to reduce remittance fees to three percent, much below the current average levels.”
Telcoin is committed to making this goal a reality a full decade in advance of the goal, as the average cost to send a remittance still hovers around seven percent. Furthermore, we are cognizant of the havoc being wrought by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, which has been a strong motivator to bring our contactless digital service to market as quickly as possible. As we finalize internal testing ahead of launching our first live corridor, we continue to engage new mobile money partners in many corners of the globe.
Today we honor the blood, sweat, and tears of migrant workers everywhere and wake this morning with a deep desire and purpose. Our purpose is to provide more for less, in a safer and time efficient way that will offer our customers the greatest possible advantages.
